With a vision of boost for women in Construction

Lifestyle Pacific Fiji hopes to work with Fijian women and upskill their knowledge in the construction industry.

Director Alec Wallis said women needed to be furnished with ideas that the construction industry was where they could use their unique life skills.

Minister for Housing Premila Kumar has urged Fijian women to promote the project and encourage fellow women who have had passion in the construction industry to try and tap into it.

Lifestyle Pacific and Lifestyle Solutions are companies born out of the vision by its directors and locals who want to leave a distinguishing legacy for the people of the Pacific in housing, health, and the environment.

The organization’s first display village based in Nadi consists of three homes, one three-bedroom, one two-bedroom, and one container home with two bedrooms.

Mr. Wallis said the two homes took five months to build using local laborer’s who were trained by experienced technical advisers, bought in especially for this training.

He also hopes to work with relevant stakeholders to secure a perfect date beginning next year where Fijian women could come together to share ideas and inspire one another with motivational ideas as a way forward in the construction industry.
